1. FREIGHTS – TRANSPORT Exchange
1.1 Operation with filter
First you have to choose the type of the advertisement you are looking for - transport or freight. When you choose the list of options, the page will be re-loaded automatically and will show you only the advertisements that you have chosen.
In addition you can filter your search using the following parameters:
- From/to country
- Up to a definite weight (kilograms)
- Up to a definite volume (cubic meters)
- Up to a definite length (running meters)
- Has/has not ADR
- Up to a definite date of validity of the advertisement
After you chose one or more additional criteria, you have to push the button FILTER to start the search.
With the Clear button you clean the filter and you can start again.
If you have not found the advertisement you were looking for, you can use the ASSISTANT button (only for subscribers). For more detailed information about the service ASSISTANT, please search in the last chapter PROFILES.
After the results from the exchange are displayed, you have possibility to:
- See the route from the advertisement directly on the map (if the names of the entered towns are correct) ;
- See all the information included in the advertisement and the contact details of the person who published it,
- Send him an e-mail message;
- Add him in your list with business contacts;
- If you are not interested in the advertisement, you can hide it, and it will not be shown again when you are doing the same search;

2. BUY/SELL CARGO VEHICLES
2.1 Operation with the filter
First you have to choose the type of the advertisement you are looking for – BUY or SELL a vehicle and the type of the vehicle :
- Vans and trucks up to 7.5t
- Truck over 7,5 t
- Semi-trailer trucks
- Semi-trailer
- Trailer
- Busses and coaches
When you choose the list of options the page will be automatically re-loaded and will show you only the advertisements and options that you have chosen.
Then you can filter your search with :
- emissions class
- price
- initial registration date
- country, where is located the vehicle
Press FILTER to search or CLEAR to cancel the filter.
After the results from the market appear, you can:
- See all the information included in the advertisement and the contact details of the person who published it,
- Send him an e-mail message;
- If you are not interested in the advertisement, you can hide it, and it will not be shown again when you are doing the same search;

2.2 Publication

After you press the button PUBLISH, you will be able to add photos to your advertisement. The first photos you add will be the main one.

3. SEARCH/OFFER JOBS Exchange
3.1 Operation with the filter
Choose the criterion you are interested in and press the button FILTER.
To cancel the filter, press the button CLEAR.
After the results from the exchange appear, you can:
- See all the information included in the advertisement and the contact details of the person who published it,
- Send him an e-mail message;
- If you are not interested in the advertisement, you can hide it, and it will not be shown again when you are doing the same search;

3.2 Publication - Tips

4. Map
4.1 Requirements
4.1.1 What settings are necessary for effective use of the map?
To benefit from Map24's full functionality we recommend the following settings:
You should use an up to date version of Firefox (Download is available on www.mozilla.com), Mozilla or Internet Explorer as your browser.
If you are using a Macintosh we recommend Firefox or Safari.
JavaScript has to be activated.
Java should be activated so that you can use our interactive map. We recommend the Java Runtime Environment from Sun which can be downloaded on www.sun.com.
Cookies should be activated.
Your pop-up blocker should allow pop ups for Map24.
Map24 should work properly if you set the security level to “standard” in Internet Explorer. You can do this by choosing “Tools“ in the menu, then choose “Internet Options” and go to „Security”. There you can switch the security level to medium or simply click on “standard”.
Additionally, you should not use an adblock plug-in. Alternatively, you can deactivate it for Map24. Because adblock software blocks e.g. java applets and thus our interactive map which is based on a java applet.
If you are using adblock for Mozilla Firefox please deactivate “obj tabs” (object tabs) in the adblock settings.
In case you are using some so called personal security software you may need to adjust its settings so that JavaScript is not blocked.

4.1.2 The map is not loading correctly. What I need to do?
First, try to reload Map24. Maybe you also need to close your browser, reopen it and then load Map24 again.
If that does not help then empty your cache and all cookies concerning Map24. In Internet Explorer you can do this by choosing “Tools” in the menu and then clicking on “Internet Options”. You can empty your cache with the “clear cache” button and delete your cookies with the “delete cookies” button.

4.2 Location finding
4.2.1 How the map is searching using one criterion?
Map24's new search allows you to search for addresses and millions of other points of interest with a single input field the easiest way.
To search for an address you can enter the city, postcode, street and house number into the search field. The search treats the input the same. For example:
- Berlin Hauptstr 5
- Hauptstr 5 Berlin
You can separate your entries by spaces, commas or the like.
Calculate quickly a route by entering the starting point into the search field and the destination into the route field. Just confirm your route by clicking on the route field.

4.2.2 How can I search in other countries?
Currently, our maps cover Europe.
If you perform a search, all covered countries and cities in your chosen region will be searched. So you do not need to specify the country in which your indicated city is located.
All covered countries and cities in Europe are automatically searched.
The search also knows the international names of many cities, for example Krakau > Krakow.

4.2.3 Can I search by points of interest?
Points of interest (POI) are an added feature to our maps. Using this feature, you will find restaurants, hotels, hospitals, tourist attractions and many other locations. The easiest way to find a point of interest is to specify its name and the city. Example:

4.3 Calculation of a route
Routing helps you to calculate a route between a specified start and destination address. After it has been calculated, the route is painted on the map.
Enter as much information as you know into the start and destination fields and then click „Route”
You may enter addresses as well as names of POI. (See also “How does Map24's new search with the single input field work?”)
Additionally, you can adjust further route settings at the bottom of the page.
After clicking on “next” your route will be calculated and you will see the description on the bottom side as well as the route on the map.

4.4 Operation with the map
4.4.1 How to zoom and move the map?
The left mouse button allows you to draw a rectangle to zoom in to the map. You don't need to recenter the map, then zoom in, then recenter again, then zoom in again, and so on, but rather just zoom in to any point on the map highlighted by the rectangle.
A single click with the left button will recenter the map.
The right button allows you to move the map in any direction you like.
The scrolling wheel of your mouse lets you zoom in and out.

4.4.2 How can I use the buttons on top of the map?
- ... + : by clicking on - (+) you can zoom out (in) incrementally. If you use your left mouse button the zoom speed will be normal, if you use your right mouse button the zoom speed will be faster.
Alternatively, you can move the sliding bar to the desired zoom level.
The Back arrow / forward arrow allow you to return to the previous map view or step forward to the next map view.
House: Navigates you to the map's origin. For example, when looking up addresses in England, the button will show you the complete map of Europe.
Rocket: To help you with your orientation clicking this button once will zoom the map out for a second and then zoom in again. If you hold the button in, you can decide how far it will zoom out. Using your right mouse button will do this at accelerated speed.
Hand: Activate this button in order to move the map by clicking with your left mouse button and dragging it.
Ruler: With this tool, you can measure distances on the map. To measure the distance from one point to the next, click on the beginning point and make a single click for every stopover. Double click on the destination to stop measuring distance.
If you would like your map to appear in a new (and bigger) window, click on the two window button.

4.4.3 There are windows in the lower part of the map. How can I use them?
Route flight
Once you have calculated a route, you will be able to fly along it. Click on the play button to start your route flight. You may click the pause button any time you like to stop the route flight and continue again by clicking the play button.
Additionally, you can jump to any point of your route by moving the cursor to the desired point on the line in the route flight panel.
3D view
You can have the map displayed in 3D mode from any angle you wish. To activate the 3D map, the panel has to be opened and you need to move the little map in the 3D panel according to your desired 3D perspective.
To reset the 3D mode, double click on the little map. To switch off 3D mode, close the panel.
Zoom
This little map shows you where you are on the chosen map continent.
You can zoom in or out by clicking on the +/- buttons or using the sliding bar.

4.4.4 I don't see all the buttons described above.
Our interactive map (the Java map) allows you to use all these functions. If you have Java deactivated in your browser, you will be shown a static map with slightly less functionality.
The easiest thing to do in order to make Map24 work properly in Internet Explorer is to set the security level to standard. To do so, please click on “Tools” in the menu, then choose “Internet Options” then go to „Security” and then click „Default Level”.
In Firefox please choose „Tools” --> „Options” --> „Content” and then activate the checkbox both for JavaScript and Java.

4.4.5 Can I switch from kilometers to miles?
Our map allows you to switch between kilometers and miles any time you want to and as often as you need to. Simply click on the rule symbol at the lower left corner of the map.

4.4.6 Where can I find the legend for the map?
We have integrated the legend directly into our map: Simply leave your mouse pointer over the point you are interested in and an information box will display further information.

4.4.7 Is there a way to increase the map size?
Map24 gives you the option to view the map in a separate window. Of course, this window can be extended to full screen size. Simply click on the button on the right side of all buttons that are placed above the map (the buttons shows two windows).
If you would like to close that separate window simply use the close button of the window itself or press the two-window button once again.
5. Profile
In this section you can correct your personal and company details, the additional information, to add your employees with right of access, to change the settings of the ASSISTANT, to add contacts to your personal business directory.
Here you will receive information about the current status of your subscription. You will be informed with an e-mail message two weeks before the subscription expires. Then in the section Company details it will appear option to print Proforma invoice.

5.1 Personal details
Tip: Try to publish up to date contact details, so the other subscribers can contact you easily.

5.2 Company details
Tip: If possible enter addition information in other languages. This will be useful for the foreign companies.

5.3 Employees
Press the button ADD EMPLOYEE to add employees to your company profile, and fill the form.
Each of them will use independent business directory and Assistant.
If one of your employees publishes an advertisement, the other subscribers will see his contact details and the name of your company.
Your employee can not change your company details.
You can always add and delete employees, and for that you need your subscriber`s name and password.

5.4 Assistant
Enter the searching criterions and mark the check box to activate the Assistant.
When an announcement with yours parameters is posted in the exchange you will receive message about that.
You can change the parameters at any time or simply deactivate it.
Every single employer in your company has at disposal different Assistant.

5.5 Company address book
You are able to add contacts to your personal address book only from the details of an announcement in the exchange. When publishing it’s possible to send your announcement directly preferred company.
You can delete a company from your list any time you wish.
